GB3BY Site Move

19 Aug

GB3BY has moved site from Chorley to Preston. Dave M0DKR kindly installed this repeater a couple of years ago but has now handed it over to Gareth M0VXT. Nothing else has changed, frequencies, CTCSS, linking etc are still as they were so no need to change anything on your radios to use GB3BY

Allstar Linking

21 Aug

There has been some confusion recently regarding GB3RF repeater and MB7INM 2m gateway network links. GB3RF is linked to our own NWRG Allstar network from 6am - 4pm, it then connects to our friends at the North West Allstar Group . MB7INM is linked to the North West Allstar Group from 6am - 4pm, it then connects to our own NWRG network with GB3BY, GB3EG, GB3FC, GB3PN and others. Group members decided they wanted to connect GB3RF to our group network during the day but still wanted to connect to the NWAG in the evening because many of our friends enjoy the evening net at 6.30pm. To avoid duplication and wasted frequencies MB7INM switches networks opposite to GB3RF so local users can still enjoy both networks 24/7.

MB7IBL 2m Gateway Burnley Frequency Change

12 Aug

MB7IBL Gateway in Burnley has moved from 144.900MHz to 145.2625MHz the CTCSS is still 103.5Hz. This was requested by the ETCC.   From ETCC website. 2 Metre Gateway Frequencies We are starting the process of moving Analogue Gateways from 144.900 MHz to 145.2625 MHz this is to make space for extra DV gateways which have to be below 145 MHz (IARU guideline). Once 144.900 is cleared it will give us an extra channel for DV gateways on 2 metres. We will also in time be moving the analogue gateways from 144.9125 MHz to a frequency above 145 MHz. Thank you for your co-operation in this change. /G8SFR
